Our Pottery Studio is located on Weston Street and has  2 pottery wheels and 2  kilns. We have a group of potters that meet often. 

White River Craft Center Pottery Classes: classes include the cost of firings and use of tools. 

Monday, June 21st, 2:30-4 Children’s Mask Making Class
Students will learn about different types of masks and create their own in clay. Funny, scary or realistic. your choice! Students will choose a time slot to return and glaze their work.

Saturday June 26th, 1-3  Smoke Fired Pottery
Learn about the ancient technique of smoke firing pottery. Students will create several small pieces and learn about Southwest Native American pottery techniques.  When pieces are dry they will be burnished then smoked with hay in a metal trash can.  At the first class students will decide a day for the 2nd class to burnish and fire pottery.

Saturday, July 3rd, 1-3 Parent and Child Ballon Bowl Class
Great afternoon art activity with your child. You and your child will each create a ceramic bowl using a ballon as a mold. pieces will be rolled out and textured with natual materials.  Once finished, parents will sign up for a time to return and glaze bowls.

Handbuilding class Tuesdays: $135
June 1-July 6th, 5:30-8:30PM
Techniques covered from coil pots to slab building. Students will create a variety of
useable vessels. Price includes a 25 pound bag of clay. Clay available for purchase at $25
per bag.

Children’s Pottery Class ages 7-12: $75
June 21st-24h 9-10:30 Am session or 12-1:30 PM session. Children will learn a variety of
hand building techniques. including coil pots, slab construction, mask making and tile
making. Students will return to glaze work on Saturday, July 1st 9-10:30 or 12-1:30.
  

Teen Pottery Class ages 13-18: $80
Thursdays from 3-5PM June 3-24. Glazing July 1st, 4-5:30.
Students will learn wheel throwing basics as well as hand building techniques.
  

Private Lessons: $30 per 1.5 hour session. With 5 sessions save $10!
